The announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to designate 2025 as the “Year of Community” in the United Arab Emirates embodies the insightful vision of our wise leadership in establishing the values ​​of solidarity and cooperation as a solid foundation for the path of development and progress.

 

The slogan of the year, “Hand in Hand,” carries profound connotations that express the country’s approach to strengthening community and encouraging the spirit of shared responsibility among citizens and residents alike. This year emphasizes the importance of the role of everyone in enriching the social fabric, preserving the cultural heritage, and highlighting the unique diversity that characterizes the UAE, which consolidates the values ​​of tolerance, openness, and cooperation as essential foundations for the country’s development.

 

The year 2025 was not a surprise, as the UAE has been launching pioneering initiatives that reflect its ambitious vision of transforming values ​​and principles into practical practices. Since the UAE launched its first national years in 2016, these years were not just names, but integrated strategies targeting comprehensive development and placing people at the heart of the development process. In 2025, by declaring the “Year of Community,” the UAE is adding a new chapter to its bright record, affirming that the progress of nations is not measured only by technological and economic development, but also by the strength of their societies and the cohesion of their individuals.
