In an exclusive interview with Al-Sabia News, we asked Adel Alawadhi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, about the most prominent initiatives implemented by the company over the past year, and he replied: "At Keolis MHI, we believe that our work goes beyond providing transportation services, it aims to provide a societal message aimed at making a tangible difference in people's lives."

 

Speaking about environmental awareness, he added: "We celebrated the National Environment Day by holding a community harvesting event in the company's community garden, which directly supported the nation's initiative to ban the use of plastic bags."

He added that the collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority led to the organization of blood donation campaigns, reflecting the company’s commitment to the health and safety of the community. He emphasized that these initiatives embody the strong humanitarian values at the core of the company’s vision.

He further highlighted initiatives aimed at promoting national pride, mentioning organized visits to heritage landmarks such as the Etihad Museum, allowing employees to explore the rich history and culture of the UAE. He added that these experiences foster a strong sense of belonging and pride, alongside initiatives designed to strengthen family bonds, such as exclusive film screenings for families.

He stressed that during the holy month, the company distributed thousands of meals and organized an annual Iftar for its employees, partners and members of the local community in an evening of celebration, recognition and networking, which strengthened the bonds that unite us.

On initiatives that promote health and fitness, he said: "At Keolis MHI, we believe that health and fitness are key elements of a sustainable lifestyle. The first Keolis MHI Sports Day, which took place in February 2024, was an exceptional experience marked by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and collaboration, reinforcing our employees' commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle."

"We were also honoured to participate in the cycling event at the e& Metro Stationas part of Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30, reaffirming our shared vision to promote sustainable mobility and encourage healthy lifestyles."

As for Keolis MHI's contribution to the Year of the Community initiative, he added: "The Year of Community initiative represents an embodiment of the values of cohesion and giving, characteristics that distinguishes the UAE.
