On July 18, 1971, the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his brothers the Rulers, signed the declaration of the Union and the UAE Constitution, officially announcing the establishment of the United Arab Emirates.
In honour of this pivotal moment in the nation's history, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has declared July 18 as Union Pledge Day, commemorating the significance of this date.
On this occasion, Adel AlAwadhi, Marketing and Communications Director at Keolis MHI, stated: "On behalf of Keolis MHI and myself, I extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, their brothers the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the loyal people of the UAE, on the designation of July 18 as Union Pledge Day.”
