• Keolis MHI achieves over three times the Nafis Emiratisation targets set for 2022.

Keolis MHI Rail Management and Operations LLC, the operator of Dubai Metro and Tram, was honoured by the Emirati Talent Competitive Council (Nafis) for its exceptional Emiratisation efforts and commitment to the employment of Emiratis in the private sector, as well as its impressive dedication to supporting the UAE’s Emiratisation drive. 

Keolis MHI received special honour in the category of companies that achieved three times or above of their Emiratisation targets, at the honouring ceremony of the winners of the first edition of the "Nafis Award" 2022, which was held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi,  and attended by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai who honoured the winners..

The Roads and Transport Authority is always working to develop strategies to attract and develop UAE nationals and Keolis MHI has been at the forefront of this strategy.”  

Wallace Weatherill, Managing Director of Keolis MHI, attended the Nafis Award ceremony alongside a number of ministers, top officials, public figures and business leaders, said “We are immensely proud to have been recognised by Nafis for our outstanding Emiratisation efforts, which resulted in exceeding the Emiratisation targets set for 2022 by over threefold. The Nafis Award was launched under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Emirati Talent Competitive Council, with an aim to recognise private companies that made outstanding Emiratisation achievements and celebrate outstanding Emirati talents in the private sector.  

The award is supervised by the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council in partnership with the NAFIS programme, which was initiated in September 2021 by the Council as part of "Projects of the 50" to achieve the UAE Vision 2071. The Nafis Award also encourages skilled Emirati talents to work productively and attain competitiveness in the labour market, while attracting young people to work in the private sector as their first choice after graduation.
