Keolis MHI held its annual Health, Safety and Security Day event on April 26, 2023 ahead of World Day for Safety and Health at Work and as part of the "Keolis MHI Way" approach.
The event was a resounding success, with staff and guests, gathered to learn about the importance of safety and security in the workplace, and to encourage everyone to become a safety champion at all times.
The event kicked off with a message from the Managing Director, Wallace Weatherill, who emphasised the company's commitment to Zero Harm and the safety and wellbeing of its employees, customers and guests. This was followed by a presentation from the QHSE Director, Paul Williams, who provided an overview of the company's health, safety and security policies and procedures.
Throughout the day, attendees were treated to a series of informative and engaging webinar sessions, covering a range of topics related to safety and security. The sessions were led by experts from Keolis and its subsidiaries, who shared their knowledge and experience with the audience.
Attendees were encouraged to take an active role in promoting a culture of wellbeing in the workplace, and to take advantage of the many resources and support services available to them.
Another important aspect was the role of every individual in maintaining a safe and secure workplace, their responsibility to report any safety or security concerns they may have, and to take action to address them. This was further emphasised with the appreciation of the safety champions who were vital in advocating the Zero Harm policy at all times, and representing our Care Value.
